The on-site Operations team is the backbone to the core of our service, which is providing clean collection containers to our members. As a member of the on-site Operations team, daily duties would include:
- Emptying containers containing collected compostable material
- Sorting through commercial containers containing compostable materials to remove contamination (i.e. anything that can’t be composted)
- Thoroughly cleaning containers (i.e. washing, soaping, rinsing)
- Preparing compost for delivery back to members
- Cleaning work vehicles (interior and exterior) when needed
- Maintaining a neat and tidy work environment for storage of operations materials
About You
- Willing and able to work outdoors in all elements (rain, heat, cold, etc.)
- Able to take direction and learn quickly to complete tasks
- Enjoys the challenge of perfecting daily processes
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds above your head
- Willing and able to spend most of the day on your feet (walking, standing, etc.)
- Detail oriented, takes pride in a good day’s work and contributing to a team environment
- Self-motivated worker, proactive in identifying and taking ownership of work needing to be completed
