Eligibility
MENTORS: Must be members of good standing in the US Composting Council and be actively employed in the compost manufacturing/organics recycling/compostable products fields.

MENTEES: Membership is not required at the time of application, but is strongly encouraged by the end of the six-month mentoring period. Mentees should be between ages 21 and 40 and within their first five years of employment in the compost manufacturing/organics recycling/compostable products fields.

Process and Deadline:
Mentee and Mentor applications will be accepted until midnight May 22, 2018. Based on the interests expressed on the application by mentees and mentors, a subcommittee of the Young Professionals Group and USCC staff will match mentee/mentor pairs.

The Mentoring Period will be from July 1, 2018 through January 31, 2019. Mentor/Mentee pairs can choose their meeting schedule and format (phone, Skype, in person, email etc.) and are encouraged to make an in-person “capstone” meeting at COMPOST2019 in Phoenix, AZ.

USCC YP/Staff informal “checkins” will occur periodically throughout the period to enhance your success.

Forms should be emailed to lnorriswaldt@old.compostingcouncil.org, Linda Norris-Waldt, who can be reached for questions at 301-508-7577.
